Yeefah – Kawasakii

Yeefah Or “ShoTime Yeefah” which many call him, is a special talent born & raised in the Poverty of New Jersey. Yeefah found his love for music at a young age, landing him in a live band as lead trumpet at only the age of 9! He would go on to play thru middle school where he also excelled in academics. ShoTime found himself at the top of his classes, placing him into a “Gifted and Talented” program at LV Moore Middle school. So where did the name ShoTime come from? Was it because he was smart accelerated kid, or did it come from his musical talents? The answer is Music. When it comes to music Yeefah puts on a show. His love for music makes him one of the most passionate creative hard working artist I have came across in a long time! His abilities to create good music on the spot is a reason he will strive in his musical career. I’ve watched him live in studio record a full LP (10 songs) in ONE session! No pen, paper, iphone or help with structure! I couldn’t believe my eyes! When asked how he did it, he looked at me and said, “You ready for the next one lets get it”. Another thing that stood out to me was ShoTime gives alot of credit and acknowledgement to his “Super Producer” Tike. Tike, also from New Jersey produces 95% of ShoTime’s beats & its been said these two have chemistry like “Jordan & Pippen”. Close sources to both parties say Yeefah doesn’t choose the beats he creates on, but in fact just puts the headphones on & tike presses record! With talent, drive and ambition like that, there’s no doubt Yeefah will be around for some time.
