Tobin Mueller – River Runs Through Me

A gorgeous smooth jazz tune from Mueller’s 1995 off-Broadway show “Creature”, this video features breathtaking photographs from Cape Cod. Mueller is not only a fabulous pianist and composer, he is a photographer of merit. Many of these photos are panoramas of the bayside looking toward Provincetown. The majesty of the scenery is accentuated by the stirring music.

This original piece was first recorded in 1999, then redone in 2009 for Mueller’s award-winning jazz ensemble album “Rain Bather”. It is also included on the follow-up album “The Muller’s Wheel” (2012). It features Woody Mankowski on soprano saxophone, Tobin Mueller on B3 organ, and Mueller’s nephew Chris Mueller on piano. The music was recorded at Lawrence University, Larry Darling engineer; mixed & mastered by Sound City Studio (L.A.) The video begins with two pieces of art drawn by British artist Alan Perry. The first image became the cover art for “Rain Bather”. The rest is Mueller’s photography. To learn more about this recording, please see:
