“The Horizon of Hip Hop & OMEHGA”
THE HORIZON OF HIP-HOP
Every now and again an artist comes along who’s artistic effort isn’t to change the game, but remind people of why they love it.
The culture of Hip Hop is always evolving. It changes with the times taking on new characteristics as current and future generations mold it with their creativity. Unsigned artist OMEHGA, an American rapper/emcee, is one that has been consumed by the culture. He pays attention to those before him, the current class, and pushes to be first to take some of the next steps towards the evolution. To hear him makes it evident, his style is unique. His versatility is easily recognized, and he is without a doubt lyrically inclined.
As an artist, he has been in the studio and international stages since the age of 18, that was 1997. From the USA to Japan, the Caribbean, and various parts of Europe he has made his presence felt. Currently residing in Dubai, his global push with voluntary breaks along the way has yet to cease. In conversation, he will tell you, “Artistically, I feel that I am the best I’ve ever been.” He recently performed at the Habtoor Grand’s XL Beach Club in Dubai and the InterContinental’s Yacht Club in Abu Dhabi. There is a lot more on the horizon.
“I want to connect with the listener. I want them to embrace all elements of a song and hopefully, see my vision or spark a debate on just what they think my vision was on a single.” His recent release, “All That’s Left” did just that. On the 1st of October, he plans to release a new single “Home Tonight” and on the 31st of October a heartfelt RnB collaboration titled “Turbulence.”
As we embark upon the new horizons of hip hop,” OMEHGA will be one of many names across the skyline.
