Here is what Mia had to say about the song, “This song is about an extremely verbally/mentally abusive relationship I was in for two years, and luckily in which I was able to get out of. I use a lot of symbolism and exact references to very specific details in my writing because the small things (whipped cream, washing the dishes, candies) are really cover ups for the major issues and trauma that took place within those two years. This song is a very personal one and I mention things that only few know, so I’m putting myself out there so that listeners experiencing a similar situation feel less alone.”
