Machuchi – Bailando Samba (Official Video)

Born in Venezuela and raised in the U.S., MACHUCHI’s life has always been centered around music. His father had all types of musical instruments around the house which greatly peeked MACHUCHI’s interest, so he taught himself to play all of them by ear, including guitar, piano, drums and all types of world percussion. The young artist soon began to sing and compose his own style of music which seemed to transcend all musical genres, and most importantly, all musical eras. His parents were confused as MACHUCHI would vanish from home for months at a time, casually returning unannounced on any given day. Yet every time he would return, he would bring home gifts for his family and friends that were from all periods in time.

MACHUCHI had reportedly built a musical time machine of sorts that allows him to explore music throughout different times in world history. MACHUCHI’s debut album titled, “Son Cosas”, seems to echo the same element of time-travel as the songs range from a 1940’s Cuban cha-cha-cha, to a full-out futuristic pop duet lavished with electronic landscapes. His music is a rebirth of Latin heritage disguised as Time-Travel Pop, which MACHUCHI hopes will inspire new and old generations of Latin-American to never forget their roots, their culture, where they came from, and more importantly, where they are heading.
