“I wrote old me in my closet at 2:56 Am with a hangover still drinking Hennessy… the whole background story of the song is about me going through a real tough relationship after falling in so deep in love I now start to realize that the person I’m in love with is in love with someone else and during that time I started to change and become more woke to what’s going on around me and in my life.. distancing myself from friends and family (isolation) which changed me mentally and made me more humble and ambitious.. all in all old me reflects on the elevation from a heartbreak to a better mentality”.
