Coming fresh off of his Global multi-platinum hit “Body” with Toronto DJ duo Loud Luxury, LA native Brando is going back to his hip hop roots with his first solo release, “drop top”. Combining a smooth riding trap beat (produced by longtime collaborator Vinny) with haunting vocals and irresistible melodies, Brando looks like he’s got another smash on his hands. Linking up with Canadian director Chris Evans and Miami based model Chelcie May, the music video for “drop top” encompasses the aesthetic of the song, matching the grainy shots of the Super 8 camera with a vibrant, neon coated night driving around LA. When asked what his favorite part of being an artist is, Brando replied “I love to write songs and I’m not afraid of collaborations. I also love the energy when performing in front of a live audience.”
