West Monroe – Love Me or Not (Spotify)

For years, alternative R&B singer and producer West Monroe has bided his time in the background of the music scene, honing his skills and developing his signature sound throughout his youth. Now, with some experience under his belt and a place to call home in LA, he is ready to introduce his vision to the world.

A multi-instrumentalist, West Monroe was first introduced to music at a young age in his hometown of Houston, Texas. Inspired by the live performances of renowned guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer, playing the guitar quickly became Monroe’s primary musical outlet. This was just the beginning of a life-long passion; by the time he left school he was writing, producing, and releasing original songs.

In 2017, West Monroe dropped two projects on SoundCloud – one on the first day of the year, and one on the last. In January 2019, now residing in Los Angeles, he released the follow-up project “Memory Ln,”. This was his first official studio album, containing 15 self-produced tracks recorded over the span of two years.

West Monroe’s newest project, “Indie Rose Vol. 1” released on all platforms November 8th, 2019, is a cohesive, concept-based album meant to be listened to front-to-back, with each song playing an important part in the flow and story of the project.
